CrownedShopPrivacy Policy

Crowned is a brand of Osqr Labs LLC, an Arizona company. This policy explains what we collect when you visit crownedhair.net or buy from us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to sell you clay and get it to your door, we never see your card number, and we don't sell your information.
What we collect
- Your order details: your name, email address, shipping address, what you bought and when. You give us these at checkout.
- Payment details: handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches us. We see only the kind of card and its last four digits.
- Subscription details: if you subscribe, how many jars, how often, and when the next box is due.
- Account details: sign-in accounts aren't open yet. Once they are, if you create one we keep your name, email, phone number, shipping address and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password, stored encrypted.
- Messages: anything you send to hello@crownedhair.net.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider records your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies and your browser
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics. Your bag is remembered in your own browser (local storage) so it's still there when you come back. Once accounts open, signing in sets one cookie to keep you signed in. The page's fonts load from Google Fonts, and parts of the page load from a public code library, which means those services see your IP address when your browser requests them.
How we use it
- To take payment, pack and ship your order, and buy its shipping label.
- To send you the emails an order needs: your receipt, your shipping confirmation with tracking, and for subscribers a “You’re subscribed” email (subscriber emails carry a link to change or cancel).
- To answer your questions and handle returns.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To keep records the law requires, such as tax and sales records.
We don't send marketing emails unless you ask for them, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe processes payments and subscriptions and sends your receipt.
- EasyPost or Pirate Ship (whichever we buy your label through) and the U.S. Postal Service receive your name and shipping address to create your label and deliver your package.
- Resend sends our order emails (shipping, and “You’re subscribed” for subscribers).
- Vercel hosts the website (and, once accounts open, stores account records).
- Google delivers the mail you send to hello@crownedhair.net.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold, under this same policy.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require (generally seven years). Account records stay until you delete your account. Messages are kept while they're useful for helping you.
Your choices
- Once accounts open, you can see, correct or delete your account details, or the whole account, from your account page.
- Subscribers can change their address or card, or cancel, from the link in their “You’re subscribed” email or any shipping email.
- To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, email hello@crownedhair.net. We'll answer within 30 days. Some records, like past orders, we have to keep for tax purposes. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state law, and we honor them the same way.
Security
Payments run on Stripe's secure checkout. Our pages are served over an encrypted connection, account records are encrypted, and access to order details is limited to the people who pack and ship them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care with what you give us.
Children
Crowned isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the site.
